NoiseMakers
Growing Up With Music
NoiseMakers is Southern Pinellas County's School of Rock for kids (and the young at heart).
Experience the thrill of being a rock star.  Our unique and entertaining classes teach the
basics to guitar, piano, percussion, songwriting, and music theory in a fun, rock 'n' roll
atmosphere.

NoiseMakers also offers its students the chance to develop their stage presence by joining
the NoiseMakers' Band and performing on stage at concerts and festivals around the area.

NoiseMakers would like to be responsible for creating a whole new generation or rock stars.
"Classes range from three to ten students," said Gabriel Whitney, founder of NoiseMakers,
Inc.  "That way everyone can feel like they're part of a band rather than just another
student."

Gabriel Whitney, or Gabe, or Mr. W, or whatever you want to call him, has been working
with children for over ten years as a teacher, a coach, and a musician.  He began playing
percussion in the fifth grade and never looked back.  Music has always been a major part of
his life, and with NoiseMakers he has found a way to share his love of music with others.

"I'm not a music snob," said Gabriel.  "I don't want to intimidate anyone out of learning how
to play music.  We're all different in many ways -- not everyone likes the same music.  It
would be boring if we did.  I have learned to like different genres of music over the years, but
I still have my favorites."

One can guess what his favorites might be when talking with his five year old son, Quinlan.
When asked what music he likes, Quinlan simply replied, "Anything by Tom Petty."
"Music does bring people
together. It allows us to
experience the same
emotions. People
everywhere are the same
in heart and spirit. No
matter what language we
speak, what color we are,
the form of our politics or
the expression of our love
and our faith, music
proves: We are the same."
